Redefine Your Relationship with Exercise
Explore how to exercise in a way that feels aligned with your values and good in your body.
We’ve been conditioned to believe that only thin, able bodies are worthy of joyful, embodied movement and that exercise is reserved for those who are conventionally athletic. This undoubtedly complicates our relationship with exercise, movement, and our bodies.
It doesn't have to be that way.
YOU ARE DESERVING OF A HEALTHY, HELPFUL, AND SATISFYING RELATIONSHIP WITH EXERCISE.
The Redefine Your Relationship with Exercise Program is a 9-month dynamic coaching program that will run from September 2023 - May 2024. In this time we'll:
- Explore how weight stigma and diet culture impacts your relationship with exercise.
- Learn how to safely use exercise as a tool to improve your physical and mental health.
- Explore your relationship with rest (and identify barriers to rest).
- Reframe your thoughts around exercise and rest.
- Learn how to set sustainable, values-driven goals.
- Learn how to build habits in a way that feels helpful and aligned with your values.
- Abolish all-or-nothing thinking and access your capacity for self-compassion.
- Learn how to balance structure and flexibility when it comes to exercise.
- Learn how to plan and schedule exercise without rigidity and perfectionism (and also without having to become a completely different person).
- Learn how to listen to and trust your body.
- Understand how anxiety, depression, and ADHD impact our relationship with exercise
(and build skills for working with these conditions). - Explore how our nervous system affects our relationship with exercise (and vice versa), and how we can use exercise for nervous system regulation.
- Figure out how exercise fits into your life in a way that truly serves you.
- Have a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationship with exercise.
- Connect with other like-minded folks.

Your Instructor
Hi! If you’ve made it this far you might be wanting to learn a little bit more about me - the person who created and facilitates this program. I’m Jessi, a Health at Every Size™ aligned, size affirming, registered dietitian and certified personal trainer. I started Redefine Your Relationship with Exercise as a group coaching program after working with one-on-one clients for almost 15 years and witnessing them struggle with the same sticking points around their relationship with exercise.
I want to exercise, I just don’t feel motivated.
I feel like I can’t stick with anything… I’m so lazy!
My only motivation for exercise is weight loss or weight maintenance.
I tend to avoid exercise because I’m afraid of being judged.
What I’m doing now doesn’t really “count” as exercise.
I can’t really tell if I need rest of if I’m just lazy.
I heard this over and over again. So I had a thought that I needed to get everyone who was feeling this way into a space together. To first see that you are not alone. To next reassure you that if this is your experience with exercise, it’s not because there is something inherently wrong with you (this program is not about pathologizing all of these sticking points, it’s about seeking to understand ourselves). And then, finally, to learn strategies and build skills to redefine your relationship with exercise.
